Central yet quietly located, this snug wooden holiday house is a short 200m stroll to the lake. The village center with its shopping facilities (bakery, grocery shop, butchery, cash machine etc.) and various restaurants are equally close. A small walking trail leads straight up to the beach, the SCD Sailing Club and several playground areas for kids (adventure playground, water playground, climbing net). Organized boat trips as well as boat rentals (sailing boats, canoes, pedal boats) can be found within close reach.
This holiday rental comprises 60sqm living space, with all rooms at ground level. As such, the rental is suited for guests with limited mobility. There is a double bed room, a small single bedroom and a recently refurbished bathroom with shower facilities. You can feel at home in the spacious living room with its adjacent fully equipped kitchen and dining space.
Equally inviting, you can relax and unwind in the comfortable seating area and on the sunbeds on the sheltered terrace in the cottage’s garden. A BBQ is provided.
The large-sized pictures taken by the nature photographer Willi Rolfes mostly display cranes – large birds which recently have discovered our lake as a resting area. In late autumn but also in spring, you can find thousands of cranes in the moors, which adds to the popularity of our region as a frequented bird watching destination. A variety of shorebirds and other species dependent on wet grassland use the lake and its surrounding areas as a breeding and resting site.
